Chess Engineering is a nation-wide business specialising in design, engineering, project management, and fabrication. With sites in Sydney and Western Australia, it caters to a large client base working across rail, infrastructure, mining, general engineering, food processing, defence, and flame proof products. Along with producing superior engineering solutions for diverse clients, the business focuses on workplace safety, professional teamwork, and a great company culture.
Steve Facer, CEO of Chess Engineering, runs his business like a family. It enjoys positive long-term relationships with loyal customers, and is passionate about delivering results that exceed expectations. However, despite the amazing capabilities and achievements of the business, Chess Engineering was struggling to create a unified brand identity. The company did so many things well, but many of them were not obvious to the market.
We worked closely with Steve and his team to understand the skills, capabilities, and achievements of the business. We found a way to align different facets of their operation, while highlighting different sectors with unique capability statements. We came up with a new Web site design, created fresh content, and developed a clear site structure. We created four business capability statements for distinct rail, infrastructure, mining, and general engineering sectors. Everything fell into place, with the business benefitting from a clear identity that represented their scale and reflected their achievements.
